dude, we have huge sensors now. i read that you should not be afraid to trade iso for shutter speed since the noise is much less noticable--especially when your subject matter is sharp and in focus. but then again you were standing still so i guess that doesn't apply to this particular shot..
yeah, i've (...in the what, three weeks since i've freaking posted. granted, YOU havent, either, so we both suck) more or less gotten over my extreme aversion to high ISOs...one that was very firmly ingrained by all my time with point-and-shoots.
...plus i realized my usual argument of web-friendly resolutions against your constant need for retina-cutting sharpness also counts for high-ISO grain.
