This man is having fun.

Auto (action/sports/whatever the running man icon is in Canon-speak) mode on a 40D owns me and owns me badly. The discovery of burst mode filled me with glee.

The 40D's ergonomics aren't too bad, either--with the exception of several functions requiring you to hold a shift key and actuate a wheel. In itself this isn't too bad, but if both the button and the wheel are normally operated by one finger, it's a bit of a pain to shift hand positions on the grip to bring another finger up and then switch back when you're ready to shoot.

And then i tried said action mode and said to hell with it, it does everything for me, does it instantly, and does it 10x better. I am now a glorified, self-articulating tripod (that can also push the shutter button).
